While
we've heard it said that sometimes it's better to be
lucky than good, it seems obvious to us that
knowledge and skill make their own luck. The classes
and clinics that we offer throughout the year are
designed to build on the skill level of herramientas de adobe photoshop.
The Foundation Sea Kayaking Class begins at the
basic level, covers the fundamentals of safe,
efficient paddling, and sets the stage for future
kayaking discoveries. Our Stroke Clinic is an
excellent refresher for those paddlers who haven't
practiced in a while, as well as a great place to
learn some of the more advanced strokes not
presented in other programs. Students in the Rescue
and Recovery course learn about essential safety
equipment, along with a variety of towing and rescue
techniques. Navigation and Trip Planning classes
focus on the waters of western Washington and cover
the wide range of issues that kayakers need to know
when it comes to charts, compasses, tides and
currents.
The Coastal Skills Workshop is an opportunity for
students to get familiar with the surf zone, to play
in the waves and the currents that characterize the
wild and wonderful Pacific Northwest coastline. For
those who have had enough of wet exits and
re-entries, and are ready to master the kayak roll,
our Roll Clinic is just the ticket.
This years schedule incorporates some minor changes
to the way certain classes are taught, as well as
some entirely new course offerings. Teaching
techniques and organizational methods evolve over
time, but there is one constant to which we will
always be committed: The highest quality kayaking
skills instruction available anywhere.
